On 6th September, the iconic The Big Half returns to the streets of London and this is your chance to be part of something extraordinary by running for KDUK.

The Bath Half is known for its fast but deceptively challenging route through the historic city of Bath. While the course is often described as relatively flat, runners soon discover that its long, gradual drags can test the legs as the miles pass. The route follows the River Avon for much of the race, offering scenic views along with a few exposed sections where the weather can make an impact.

This year’s race brought classic early-spring conditions. Cool temperatures made for comfortable running, though occasional breezes along the riverside sections added an extra challenge for runners trying to hold their pace. The atmosphere around the course was fantastic, with crowds lining the streets and providing encouragement from start to finish.

Helen, Aaron and Dan all ran strong races, pacing themselves well across the 13.1-mile course. From the busy start through Bath’s city streets to the long return stretches along the river, they showed determination throughout. Completing a half marathon is always an achievement, and doing so while raising money for a meaningful cause makes it even more special.

Together, the trio raised £780 for Kennedy’s Disease UK, a brilliant contribution that will help support the charity’s work raising awareness of Kennedy’s Disease, funding research and supporting those living with the condition.

Everyone at Kennedy’s Disease UK would like to say a huge thank you to Helen, Aaron and Dan for their commitment and generosity. Their run at the Bath Half not only showed great effort but also helped make a real difference to the Kennedy’s Disease community.

Well done again to all three runners, and thank you for supporting KDUK.

We have one charity place available for Swim Serpentine in Hyde Park on 19 Sep (1 mile swim) and 3 places for the London Big Half Marathon on Sunday 6 Sep.
