Kennedy's Disease UK

Donna Galvin Takes on the English Channel

Donna Galvin is taking on an incredible challenge – swimming the English Channel to raise vital funds for Kennedy’s disease research.

The English Channel swim is one of the most demanding challenges in open-water swimming, requiring immense physical endurance, preparation and determination.

Swimming for Kennedy’s disease research

Research is vital to improving our understanding of Kennedy’s disease and helping to drive progress towards better treatments for the future. For the families affected by KD, continued investment in research represents hope for what may be possible in the years ahead.

Donna’s challenge is therefore helping to turn an extraordinary personal achievement into something that can benefit the wider Kennedy’s disease community.

Every stroke makes a difference

Taking on the English Channel is an enormous undertaking, but Donna’s reason for doing it is clear: to help raise awareness and support research into a condition that affects individuals and families around the world.

We would like to say a huge thank you to Donna for choosing to use this challenge to support Kennedy’s disease research.
